This is what it comes down to. Not all of it, but y’know . . . this.
Well probably not, but it was a good intro.
I used to do this thing, Reality Compound, just basically a massive output for all kinds of nonsense I get into, really got me into the space for it, y’know, the persona.
I told you I’m not the greatest DJ or Producer or whatever, in fact I’m barely even that good, I’m not exactly terrifically interesting but I’ve got my own shit going on. I’m doing my thing. You gotta paint a picture, and colour it in. Y’know that’s where the stories and the characters come in.
Art’s not really about details, it’s about communicating something, something big, that’s why you take on aspects of a characters to help explore ideas. I’m developing a good sense of my own character, what narrative aspects and themes I can explore through that, it’s just about how I chose to interpret the seperation between the character I play and who i really am.
It’s just an extension of my art and I have to see it that way. Y’know. Not take it so personally, kinda . . . like why I’m dumping all this shit on my blog right now.
Y’know, it’s not really a big deal, I’m just developing my character.
