What Romantech did next . . .
Okay well there’s still an album to finish but in terms of what I’ll be doing next I really feel the need to streamline my activities in order to move forward effectively.
That’s right, I am still all business on it, and that’s a fact. If I can’t turn around for 5 minutes to focus on my music without my business going to the dogs it’s obvious I have not got to a stage where they’re complimentary enough to move forward in step.
I’m happy with the money situation especially as of course I refrained from getting in too deep with the Dojo Inspectors, which turned out to be smart because now I’m not really under any pressure to keep the coffers full, I can still make a bold move if it’s expedient.
But as long as we go on to complete the Dojo Inspectors project, and I put in place the slow and consistent promotions I am familiar with conducting on the net, then I should get some mileage, or some ocver out of that to proceed until February where we will plan our next release.
Until then I got some personal projects to be working on, which basically means I need to be investing into my lifestyle, that is, I can’t be bothered chasing around all these dumb ideas any more I just want to get into doing my thing.
Do a song, have a a nu underground party, do my youtube, develop my crossover brand which is y’know kurb and romantech under the new reality compound. hmm the concept of a “new” reality compound is quite interesting as it really now is a fresh start and whatever happened on myspace years ago is kind of irrelevant.
What did I call it? Mythological capital or something dumb, maybe not THAT dumb, but it had some name to describe how history can be somewhat useful in establishing a new brand.
Anyway as I said combining the creative brand I’m building with my business more to me is goin to be more efficient because I’m moving away from the distraction of having multiple projects on the go and it all being crazy and loose to try and keep track of.
So yeah whatever I was talking about, I’ve got until February to put some things together or I’m just stuck doing drum and bass, basically, which is not the worst thing in the world but it’s hardly been a fast track for success and as much as I love it . . .
I guess it’s like chasing a girl who’s not interested. Or I dunno.
What Romantech did next is something half decent.
Somewhere beyond relentlessly stressful marketing empire building and lackluster returns on Drum and Bass.
You can tell I’m excited about it right? No seriously. I’m just over not having the foresight to – well y’know, I guess it sucks when – mmm. yeah. You gotta know what you want. You gotta know if there’s a price to pay, then you’re really willing to pay it.
What’s a sacrifice worth for nothing? A smart guy gets what he can.
He may not get what he wants, he gets what he can.
