I am thinking about where I should base my operations.
I actually am quietly confident I will pull it together in 2010, and since I may as well aim high, I am looking for the best vibes to carry me forward with my business all organised and good grounded vibes setting me up for a good run in music production also.
Which are the best vibes in Auckland for me? Grey Lynn, Kingsland or K rd?
After being throughly ousted from the vibe in Kingsland, I’ve been set up on K rd for a few weeks and I must admit aside from a few drawbacks which are pretty minor, I actually like it, but I decided to blog on the romantech blog about what the right decision for me in the future is. because really it all comes down to creating the perfect conditions for creative flow, because if I’ve got cash flow, and creative flow, the forces of evil are gonna have a hard time stopping me from getting what i want, for real.
It’s about priorities really, but as I move to a more confident position, it’s going to be less about the basics and more about reaching for the goodies.
That is at bare minimum I need a bed and good broadband. But anything closer to a playboy mansion like palatial enclave where I can seduce numerous beauties in sumptuous privacy could be a lot of fun too. If it’s not too much trouble.
But yeah, not sure how they fits with my priorities, y’know?
The thing with K rd is it’s a good situation but again like Grey Lynn, I don’t have much domain over the space, and there’s a lot of distractions, one to be considered is actually the vibe from the street, it’s not very authentic or pure to have all these young dicks running around on the street at night on your doorstep.
I’m sure it’s another blog post but I don’t feel there adventure any more. I’ll still chase my own but it’s not about those things any more, these drunken numbskulls have destroyed the scene. I don;t see how they’ve got any creativity to contribute.
I was thinking about leaning into it with a laptop out on the balcony, drunkards and traffic and the city at my feet, writing beats purely conjured from these screaming 20 year old brats all over the street.
It would be a challenge wrestling with their vibe eminating off the street. Do I go dirty and banging for them or rise above with some deep righteous melody?
Anyway. And the parking is rotten. But I can’t go unless I have to. I just have to seek solutions to my other needs in Kingsland and it’s all about private space. I need my space.
haha, It’s true, my brain needs space to grow, I have to huddle in Kingsland at times if necessary, just to carry out my own private doings. Doings so I can be, yeah, y’know.
So anyway, I sleep on K rd because the noise is no good in Kingsland, but I return to K rd during the day to conduct my affairs. After dinner I would head to Kingsland just for that evening of peace in my studio where I’d work on video and do my emails, blogs etc.
I’d use it as a studio for all my video stuff, and the letterbox etc.and also probably more of a social space
and then come back to k rd to work on my tunes, of course I can still do video at k rd and music at kingsland.
But yeah parking is the issue, neither place has a decent park for me, and I dont really want to pay extra for that. But I think I’m decided I’m going with it, but god knows where I’ll put my car.
