More Deep Drum and Bass Liquid Website Stuff

I am trying to come up with concepts for the romantech website because y’know I want to follow that plan I had of basically this sprawling archive that I might update in a few years and then an upfront section which I’ll update the design for every 6 months because it will just be a handful of pages and I’ll probably just riff on whatever art is linked with a release or project I’m coming out with at the time which I guess will be roughly, hopefully, every 6 months.

But I still need to conjure up the vibe when they come to the site, like, I get this concept, y’know they don’t just come to the romantech site for the music because that’s not my vibe, not just music.

Y’know there’s the archive, and the content, and the website design, and finally the vibe. That’s the four factors. The last factor is the vibe of that dude approaching you in the street, what do you want?

What is this about? What am I here for? Well I think I’ve got my own answers but only in the telling of a story in which I look very for them very hard.

Of which this blog is the precursor.

The not just music factor is large because the music factor is kind of linear. Make songs, pay to get them mastered, or not, just release on a mix, and master that as some sort of package, bundle.

The not music is a conversation. An ongoing discussion.

So say the archive is all done and i’m like, okay, you’re on my site. What is it saying? Maybe it’s a non musical talk that needs to happen. The music speaks for itself, but what about the nonmusic?

A lot of qurky arty styles rely on kind of this non explained space, maybe I’ll go with that. I don’t have to tell people what I’m doing or who I am, I don’t need to explain myself.

Oh okay? But what about y’know letting people understand your stuff? Well that’s kind of a matter of refinement. I guess.

That’s where it comes back to conversation and discussion. Maybe I just have to charge forward with my video and let that do the talking. But whats the vibe for my site?

Video. Maybe I need video to drive the vibe and that way the only thing I need to worry about is that the design isn’t tacky and that . . . no no, it doesn’t matter how I say it, it’s what I say. So even if there isn’t some big deal in terms of design and presentation on the site, I still need intent.

I’m gonna work on that. Intent.

so when I buy something cool for my business, it increases the value of the business minus depreciation, right? So even when I’m spending money, I’m not only getting a tax write off, but I’m adding the rest of the value to the business.

Yeah some business stuff, that just came in at the end there. Oh well. My blog that I spend a lot of time not putting nay effort into.

Whatever!

More kind of barely lucid writings coming up. Y’know, geniuses back in the day had their diaries, journals, they were all arty in that manner. And I do too. It doesn’t make much sense but hey.
