|Romantech: Auckland, New Zealand based provider of deep Drum'n Bass and break beat driven downloads, info and events.||ROMANTECH ARCHIVE|
This is the Romantech archive, we're I'm working on a long term project to tell my story and record my experience with whatever content and materials I have available to create a narrative of what I've seen and learned.
For now, I'm just building the skeleton but over the years I will be pushing out beyond just my music and creative history and development to cover other projects I've been involved in, my school memories, activism, design, conceptual and personal influences, family history, lots of general autobiographical archives and content prepared for presentation
For now I'm focused on music
and getting a lot of photos and content I have from the 90's and early

Beat Dungeon Radio on Up fm was kicked off by Ivan NSU in 2007 when soon after joining Ralph E's 4pm sunday slot, Ralph decided to finish up his commitments to the show, and NSU took over the slot.
Having already guested on the show NSU asked me to come on board as co host, and relishing the opportunity to play a selection of electronic tunes as well as drum and bass, and of course continue to showcase local producers, I agreed. I always thought as someone who loves to inject my own personality into my projects, radio was a great format for me.
Beat Dungeon was initially a broad umbrella of a show where we could indulge in a number of themes under the electronic/dance mantle of up fm, including old school classics from the emerging period of dance music, while NSU pushed ceaselessly to bring local acts into the orbit of the show with a series of interviews and features.
As time went on and more connections were established with local producers it became more apparent that the point of difference between us and other shows on upfm is we were consistently committed to supporting local music
The first Beat Dungeon compilation was Solitary Confinement and in March 2009 Beat Dungeon released the Downbeat Syndrome compilation with a gig of the same name at Lot 44 that included performances from Soul Science, NSU, Stray Theories, Sharkweek and Shane Hollands.
In 2008 the show also featured Nikolozi, and in 2009 Ivan Disha joined the regular line up. When NSU returned to serbia in 2010, Disha and I took over hosting duties. It was at this point, when UP fm began to ask their hosts to step up their game, that we decided the best way we could progress the show was to commit to 100% NZ dance and electonic music, despite the challenge it presented to me in that my first commitment remained to melodic dancefloor drum and bass.
Beat Dungeon concluded in early
2013 after almost 6 years.
